How do you explain 2 Live Crew to a non-Miamian? We suppose the best way would be to sing “Me So Horny.” If you're an out-of-towner who wants to get a taste of the real Miami or a youth-sick native, you’re in luck, because the Crew is playing White Room tonight.
If you caught 2 Live Crew at Vagabond last year, you know what to expect out of tonight’s appearance. Sweat and girls. If you’re not willing to move your butt about, don’t bother going. There’s a purpose to booty music, and it’s pretty clear what that is.
Sure Uncle Luke is out of the picture, but the party is still on; the other guys remain as nasty as they want to be. Otto Von Schirach and a slew of other DJs will be playing old school Miami bass. There will be special live performances by Basside and Young Spook, as well. Admission is only $10, doors open at 10 p.m. and please wear your coochie cutters.
