It was white hot at the Elie Saab during Paris Fashion Week.

This fall you can wear white after Labor Day. Other hot trends include cobalt blue and florals.

That's according to Cosmopolitan for Latinas Fashion and Entertainment Director, Niria Portella, who was expected at the opening of the new Express store at the Dadeland Mall on Monday night.

She added taht fall fashion can be worn even in the warm Miami weather.

“You can wear camouflage, sheer shirts or boots with a mini skirt,” Portella said. “It’s lightweight and great for warm weather, but it feels fall.”

According to Portella, it’s okay to keep prints, whites, and punk fashion for the fall as long as some of the materials and designs are new.

“Fabric is what changes and gives it the fall feeling,” she said. “Florals are big this season, and getting the floral in a new shape, getting it in a new rounded shoulder top, a new silhouette or a jean.”

Another fall trend seen the runways is the “all white,” which includes white clothes, accessories and shoes, said Portella. By using lightweight wools and linens the white can be transferred to the fall fashion.

Portella said women call always hide their “chichos” or belly by avoiding low-rise jeans.

“Curvy women have to avoid anything big on the bottom,” she said. “It gives the illusion that you are bigger than what you are.”
