Calle Ocho: Don't Miss A Beat

It's that time of year again when Calle Ocho sweeps into town literally taking over Little Havana with scores of people, food and a variety of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. With so much happening on Sunday you won't want to risk missing out on your favorite musical performances.

What is going on where? Below we break down the top highlights of Calle Ocho:

One of the main reasons people head to Calle Ocho in droves is to see their favorite artists performing for free. Stop by the Mega 94.9 stage, located at 19th Avenue North, where Elvis Crespo, Alexis y Fido, and Maffio will be performing throughout the day. The Coca Cola stage, located at 22nd Avenue North, will have performances from Brenda K. Starr, Dyland y Lenny, and Juan Magan. After the music, don't leave without seeing a special cooking demonstration from celebrity chef Ingrid Hoffmann.

If you are looking for a classic Calle Ocho experience, you won't want to miss performances from some of your favorite old school artists. The Chivas Regal stage on 17th Avenue North will feature legends Willy Chirino and Hansel y Raul and the Wepa.FM stage on 13 Court Street will take you back to the 80's and 90's with freestyle flavor with Johnny O, Company B, Ray Guell, Coro and Shannon.

Pitbull won't be at this year's Calle Ocho celebration but he will be representing with his Mr. 305 presents: United Nations stage on 12th Avenue North. Throughout the day you can expect performances by El Cata, Sensato, Madai, Vein, Fat Joe, and Kat DeLuna.
