Carlos Ponce, Kate del Castillo Announced as Hosts of 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards

The 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards are just around the corner and Telemundo just revealed the names of the two celebrities who will be guiding the star-studded festivities taking place April 27th live from the University of Miami’s Watsco Center.

Sharing hosting duties this year will be none other than internationally acclaimed actress Kate del Castillo who will be working alongside renowned actor, singer, songwriter and TV host Carlos Ponce.

Del Castillo who is currently starring as the fictional First Lady of Mexico in the Netflix original “Ingobernable” returns to Telemundo following her successful streak of novela super-series like “Reina del Sur” (Queen of the South) and “Dueños del Paraiso” (Paradise Owners). She has also appeared in various American programs such as Weeds and Jane the Virgin.

Charismatic and beloved heart-throb Carlos Ponce is perhaps one of today’s most multifaceted Latin entertainers. He has made his mark in both English and Spanish language entertainment as a film and television actor, singer, songwriter and Television Host. His latest film include the role of Matthew Wright in “Spy” with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Rose Byrne.

Joining Ponce and del Castillo will also be an all-star line-up of musical artists, actors and television personalities who will take the stage as presenters including Colombian hip-hop and alternative music band ChocQuibTown, Mario Kreutzberger better known as Don Francisco, Puerto Rican songstress Ednita Nazario, Fanny Lu, Juan Luis Guerra, Eva Longoria, Eugenio Derbez just to name a few.

The 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards, in addition to its re-carpet pre-show will air on NBC 6’s sister station Telemundo live from the Watsco Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
