Gloria Estefan, Willy Chirino Support Cuban Human Rights in Online Video

The videos are part of The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba's campaign.

Gloria Estefan and Willy Chirino, two well-known Cuban artists, have recently appeared in videos supporting a campaign for human rights in Cuba.

The online campaign, Connect Cuba, is put out by The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC), a nonprofit organization working to promote a transition to freedom and democracy in Cuba.

The nonprofit works with human rights activists and is currently working on spreading the message through social media.

“As an artist and fellow Tweetie, I know the importance of staying connected via the internet,” Estefan said in the video. “Please support the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba…we have to Connect Cuba.”

Chirino’s video was launched in Spanish and expressed his desire for a free Cuba.

“I understand very well the importance of free expression, that’s why I’m asking your help for the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba and its campaign Connect Cuba,”Chirino said. “Long live a Free Cuba.”
