Celebrate Brazilian Independence Day

Join Veuve Clicquot in celebrating Brazilian Independence Day at WALL at the W Hotel on Tuesday, September 3 from 12:00 a.m. until closing (2201 Collins Avenue)

and at SLS Hotel South Beach’s Hyde Beach on Saturday, September 7 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (1701 Collins Avenue).  Expect even more than the usual madness at  Tuesday's Favela Beach party.  Beginning at midnight, guests will celebrate with flutes of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and enjoy special performances by traditional Brazilian dancers and drummers until the early morning hours.

On Brazil’s official Independence Day, Saturday, September 7, Veuve Clicquot will toast the holiday with a pool party at SLS Hotel South Beach’s Hyde Beach with traditional Brazilian dancers who will perform throughout the afternoon and of course, flutes of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label will be available for purchase.

Blade's Omakase Dinner

For those seeking the ultimate sushi experience, Blade Sushi, located at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and overseen by Master Sushi Chef Deden “Benny” Bandi, is now offering an Omakase dinner – dishes designed to surprise and satisfy restaurant-goers with a chef’s selection of the freshest fish, vegetables, tempura and imaginative specialty rolls. Omakase, which means “to entrust,” is a unique eight-course dinner where Chef Benny, adhering to Japanese tradition, combines time-honored Asian flavors with a contemporary twist to create a progression of distinctive sushi plates that speak to his imaginative signature style. Diners will put their trust in Chef Benny to cater a delicious and unique sushi experience like none other.

Get Your BBQ On!

Plan early for next week's fun. On Monday, September 9, former Top Chef Season 3 contestant Chef Howie Kleinberg, who recently appeared on Destination America’s BBQ Pitmasters, will host a second pop-up dinner at his North Miami restaurant, Bulldog Barbecue.  Each pop-up highlights a different variation of barbecue.  Kleinberg and guest chef Ted Mendez of Grove Isle will feature barbecue inspired by Latin American cuisine and culture.  Dishes include  Smoked Chicken and Queso Fresco Empanadas, Wood Grilled Hog Snapper, Brisket Vaca Frita and Pork “Squared” with yellow chicharron rice.  Served family style, the cost is $50 per person.  Reservations begin at 6 p.m. For more information, call 305.940.9655.
