Celeb Photog: Shooting Kim Kardashian Naked Guarantees a “Reaction”

Kim Kardashian's naked body on the cover of W magazine? Yeah, that'll probably generate some buzz.

"I knew it was going to get a reaction," said celebrity photographer Mark Seliger, who shot Kardashian for the November Art Issue, which featured some well-placed text blocks over sensitive areas. "She has a lot of popularity and she is definitely somebody that people are interested in."

He added: "[W's Art Issue] was conceived and developed with the idea that everybody has their 15 minutes, and Kim has definitely had a big extension and she was lovely to work with and very gracious."

The shutterbug was at South Beach restaurant Casa Tua last night to celebrate the release of his latest book, Listen, which includes artistic shots of landscapes and nudes.

"It spawned from the idea that a lot of the different photographs I've taken for myself were sort of categorically inspirational," he explained. "It's really about returning to a very basic, almost a very analog, way of thinking."

Seliger -- who has shot covers for Rolling Stone and Harper's Bazaar and others -- has worked with A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kurt Cobain, and says he counts stars Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Jerry Seinfeld among some of his favorite subjects to date.

"The people I work with over and over again are typically the people I have a connection to," Seliger to Niteside. "Any time you work with somebody, it's an event, but when you work with someone on a regular basis it really becomes very special."
