Hair stylist-to-the-stars Ken Paves hosted last night's UNITE Unveiled Miami at SoBe's Shore Club, and though he now boasts A-list clientele, he has never neglected his roots -- and we're not just talking hair.

"I started my career here in Miami," said the celeb stylist, who has tussled the locks of A-listers such as Eva Longoria Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Heather Locklear and Jessica Simpson. "Miami is the Mecca of where things happen."

After partying the night away with the industry's young talent at the Shore Club's SKYBAR, Paves said he is headed back to New York to meet BFF Jessica Simpson and gear up for the season premiere of their new VH1 show "The Price of Beauty."

As for one of Gen Art's "Fresh Faces of Fashion," reality starlet Whitney Port, along with castmate Roxy Olin, said she found the Magic City to be relaxing even if she was debuting her new line.

"It has been a breath of fresh air," Port said about her stay in Miami. "Even though it is a lot of work, you constantly feel like you're on vacation."

But don't expect her to permanently relocate to warmer climates like some other fist-pumping New York reality stars we know.

"No, New York is the place to be," she said.
