"I always have a lunch box with me," she told Niteside while shopping for groceries, "which means I'm always at the gym."
The Dallas native who is featured in print ads and most recently attended Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim is also on a full scholarship to Florida International University, which she said is her first priority.
"School has always been a priority for me," she said. "It all seems great in the beginning when you're being flown to Milan and overseas but then you start to see how it all works. Especially how agencies take advantage of new girls just trying to chase a dream. I knew that I had to stay here, take control of my own finances and focus on my education."
With graduation right around the corner, one factor looking to decide her post-college plans: the economy.
“Everyone has been hit these last few years, even models," she said. "I used to work fashion shows and walk the runway for $1,100. Now, agencies are having to argue for $300. If fashion goes up with the economy, then I would love to keep modeling because I really love what I do.”
