What’s the worst part of plopping down a bundle of bills for a one-time wear? Everything. If you’re tired of spending a fortune on something so fabulous you can’t be seen in it twice, stop buying and start renting. Rent The Runway is an on-loan couture clothier for fashionistas on a fixed budget. Think of it as Netflix for fashion. Simply pick from the list of designers (including Herve Leger, Yigal Azrouel and Proenza Schouler, to name just a few), select a dress and your size (they’ll send two to make sure you get the perfect fit) and live it up for four-to-eight days in your temporary threads. Then, when your time is up, ship them back. You’ll be all the wiser for the wear and so will your wallet.
