Farofa Nation

Sure, we’ve been called the least courteous city and we’re world-renowned for our moronic drivers, but not all Miamians are bad. Take, for instance, Farofa Nation. On top of designing kick-ass tees for guys and rugrats, the makers of the Miami-based T-shirt line, Serge Castagna and Ana Testa Castagna, donate 10 percent of proceeds from their shirts to Task Brazil, a charity dedicated to saving the children of Rio de Janerio. Shirts like Graffiti Attack sell for just $26 a pop, which means you can afford to help out a bunch of kids and look cool at the same time. Look for a women’s line coming soon, too. Farofa Nation

      About the Authors

      GINGER HARRIS

Ginger loved dressing up in frilly frocks and fancy shoes as a kid. Now she's added shopping and beauty products to her list of loves. If you want to find her about town, look for her at vintage boutiques and beauty counters.

      JESSICA SICK

Jessica is a current NBCMiami editor and a former DailyCandy Miami editor. Despite growing up in Miami, she does not enjoy long walks on the beach. She'd rather be spending her time buying stuff she probably doesn't need but sure makes her look darn cute.

      ANNIE VAZQUEZ

Annie is a shop-a-holic like her mama and relishes chocolate anything. The Cuban-American journalist has wrestled an alligator, flown a Cessna to get over her fear of flying and been the first woman to ride an Indy car as a passenger, yet she finds her biggest adrenaline rush from hitting up stores with sales.

      LAUREN COTO

Lauren loves to be in the know and in a great pair of shoes. You can usually find her searching near and far for the best deals around town. Her parents think she has a spending problem, but she likes to think she's just contributing relief to the economy.
