NOW OPEN: When Lorie Lester was little, all she wanted to do was sew. Today, she’s sewn her way to her first boutique in Miami’s Upper East Side. Decorated in vintage furniture and colorful Miami-esque prints of models donning her collection, Lester’s namesake boutique brings local fashion flavor to the area. Find flowing dresses, sexy out-on-the-town numbers and fitted jackets in funky patterns and bold pops of color. “We work with a lot of silk, soft knits, and we’ve been getting more into organic knits. I am a hippie at heart,” Lester says of her latest collection. And if there’s something you’re after that you don’t see, Lester will gladly whip it up for you, as her new store also offers custom pieces. It’s all part of Lester’s plans to bring something new to the area. “I really feel there is a gap here in the retail market.
