Stephanie Bertini

Stephanie Bertini is an award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience in television. Her career has brought her to several local news stations in both the United States and Canada.  Over the years, her on-air versatility has allowed her to acquire a range of skills including: investigative reporting, anchoring, weather, entertainment and traffic.

Stephanie joined the NBC 6 news team, as reporter, in May 2015 after working for ABC affiliate WFTV in Central Florida.  Before moving to the Sunshine State, she spent more than three years in Texas working at the U.S.-Mexico border for ABC affiliate KRGV-TV. Stephanie started her news career, at Canadian television station CTV News Northern Ontario.

Born, and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Broadcast Journalism through a joint program between York University and Seneca College.  She is currently studying toward a Journalism Master’s Degree at the University of Miami.  

Stephanie has received several industry honors including: the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award, two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, an Emmy nomination, and several accolades from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters.

Growing up in an Italian family has given her a strong appreciation for good food, and vibrant conversations. In her free time, you will likely catch Stephanie at the beach, trying a new restaurant, or on a run.   

Through her travels, Stephanie has visited different corners of the world including:  Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Latin America. She speaks Italian, Spanish, and some French.
