Courteney Cox Has “Free Therapy” on Howard Stern

"Cougar Town" star follows Arquette's lead by telling Stern about her relationship issues

Come to think about it, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are perfect for each other.

The 46-year-old “Cougar Town” star accompanied her estranged hubby on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show Thursday, and didn’t hold back with her own candid observations about their sex lives and relationship woes.

In addressing reports Arquette, 39, tried to put the moves on her during a recent Disney World trip with their 6-year-old daughter, Coco, Cox explained she didn’t appreciate his early morning proposition.

"This is one of our problems in our relationship,” she told Stern, according to Us Weekly. “Whenever I would need consoling from David, he could not literally put his arm around me for one second without completely getting a boner."

Arquette, who has frequently opened up about the status of his relationship with Cox on Stern's show, protested that he’s “more in touch with what she needs now.”

“She takes one sort of thing and she clumps it [and says] that's what happens all the time in our relationship,” he told Stern. “It's not really true."

As the conversation progressed, Cox told Stern her problem with Arquette “ wasn’t a matter of sexual chemistry, but that both “Scream 4” stars were “very different people.”

"The truth of the matter is that we love each other so much,” she said. “I'm a homebody. I like to have people over, but I'm a little socially not – I don't love it. David – he doesn't drink anymore, he's completely sober – but he likes to go out and dance. He really is a very gregarious guy. He's very outgoing. I'm much more of an introvert."

Cox said that since her split with Arquette she has not had sex with anyone else. But she did not categorically deny romance rumors with “Cougar Town” co-star Josh Hopkins, People reported. Instead, she said her colleagues "really don't want to get involved in this mess."

Asked to name someone she’d consider dating if she and Arquette opted against reconciling, Cox called Christian Bale her “talent crush,” according to E! News.

“This was like free therapy,” she said at the end of her appearance on Stern.
