“Game of Thrones” Star Sean Bean Arrested Over Texts to Ex-Wife

Actor bailed out after questioned on harassment claims

British actor Sean Bean was arrested on claims he harassed his ex-wife through text messages and phone calls, according to U.K. newspaper reports.

Police in central London questioned the 53-year-old “Game of Thrones” and “Lord of the Rings” star Wednesday on suspicion he harassed his fourth wife, actress Georgina Sutcliffe.

Bean had his fingerprints and DNA taken at the prearranged interview, was arrested on suspicion of harassment and released on bail, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Sutcliffe and Bean wed in London in 2008 and divorced two years later, according to the Daily Mail.

Bean is best known in the U.K. for starring in the ITV Napoleonic war drama "Sharpe" and for his role as Boromir in the “Lord of the Rings” films.

More recently, he played Ned Stark in the first season of HBO's “Game of Thrones.”
