Emma Watson: Boys Are Intimidated by Me

And that whole Brown bullying controversy? Never happened.

Seems like there’s nothing Emma Watson can’t do—she acts, she models, and has become something of a fashion icon.

But try to get a date, and that’s a horse of a different color.

"I say to my friends, 'Why hasn't X called me? Why doesn't anyone ever pursue me?' They're like, 'Probably because they're intimidated,’” Watson told the Sunday Times of London.

“It must be the fame wall,” she continued. "It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating."

Watson also addressed the so-called Brown controversy, a thorny rumor that spread like wildfire, saying that the actress left college because of bullying and students shouting “Harry Potter”-related slights like, “Ten points for Gryffindor!”

“Brown has been the opposite,” the actress said. “I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus.”

Watson seems to have grown a tough skin, too. “I've been dealing with the media since I was nine. If I can't stand up to a few people giving me a hard time, it's a bit pathetic, really,” she said.
