Kobe Bryant Lands a Spot at Grauman's Chinese Theatre

Kobe cements his status as an L.A. star.

Kobe Bryant has long been one of Tinsletown's biggest celebs, even though he's not a movie star. But now the Lakers' star has literally cemented his claim on being a Hollywood elite.

The All-Star forward became the first non-actor to claim a slab of famous concrete at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, reports E! Online.

Bryant, who has won five NBA titles while playing for the Lake Show, had his hands and feet immortalized on February 19, just a day before he captured his record-tying fourth All-Star game MVP award in front of a raucous home crowd at the Staples Center.

"I feel like I've grown up in this city, and we've had a lot of ups and downs, but here we are—five championships, plenty of more to go, and I just feel extremely honored to be able to do this," Bryant said at the event.

Bryant's wife and two children were there for the ceremony, as well as director Penny Marshall and Lakers' coach Phil Jackson.

Though Bryant said he has no plans to become a thespian any time soon, master of ceremonies Jimmy Kimmel couldn't help but get in a playful dig at the superstar.

"It's fitting that Kobe Bryant would have a place in Grauman's Chinese Theatre because although he's not an actor nor does he have any experience in theatrical arts he is—wait, why is this fitting?" Kimmel asked. "The closest Kobe's come to acting is pretending he's going to pass the ball to Luke Walton."
