Rihanna "Eases" Back Into Studio
The songstress will record new music to help recover from abuse
A recovering Rihanna will hit the studio to record new music, her producer says.
Rihanna's down -- but she's not out.
The bloodied and bruised R&B superstar is "easing" back into work in the recording studio as she recovers from abuse, allegedly at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown.
Armed with ideas for new material, the "Umbrella" singer is set to start work on another album, to be released later this year.
"She's definitely trying to move forward," Rihanna's producer, Adonis Shropshire, told HipHollywood.com, as reported by EXTRA.
The Barbados-born diva is taking it one step at a time, juggling studio session with court dates as Brown stands trial for abuse.
"She's really easing into it," Shropshire said. "Just a couple of ideas here and there over the last couple of weeks. It's coming out good."
The new music will be in the same vein as Rihanna's last album, "Good Girl Gone Bad," an edgy pop compliation that shot to the top of the charts last year.
Shropshire said the starlet is handling the Brown situation with dignity -- but needs the music to help ease her pain.
"She's doing OK -- I mean, of course with the situation, she's all right," Shropshire said.
"With anybody in the world that goes through something, you have to bring yourself out of it. So I guess her refuge is her music, of course, as it should be,"
Brown allegedly beat Rihanna Feb. 8 after a fight that stemmed from a text-message another woman sent him. The battered singer and boyfriend Brown canoodled in P.Diddy's Florida mansion last week, and are reportedly back together despite the altercation.
Brown was charged with two felonies last week and is standing trial in Los Angeles.
