Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are going to have a baby.

The model made the announcement on Monday that she is pregnant with the couple's first child on Instagram.

"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family," she wrote on social media. "We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx"

The couple has been very vocal in the last year that they definitely want to have children, and while promoting her upcoming show "FABLife" alongside Tyra Banks at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour, Teigen said that she was ready to settle down.

"I'm aging. I love bouncing around. I love going on tour with John, we've considered ourselves bicoastal for 10 years now. It's definitely weird and different to have a home now," she said. "I'm ready to have a family and call Los Angeles my home."

The mom-to-be hoped to have kids last year.

"I swear to you, I thought I would've had one by now," the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl said in May 2014. "So, hopefully we'll just have this Angelina-Brad-type brood. I would love that ... I definitely want a lot of kids, though, and he does as well."
