Dustin Hoffman Beats Cancer: Actor “Feeling Great” After Surgery

Luck may have been canceled, but fortune still shines on Dustin Hoffman.

The two-time Oscar winner recently underwent successful treatment for cancer and has been "surgically cured" after doctors caught it early, his rep confirms to E! News.

"Dustin is feeling great and is in good health," she says, adding that Hoffman will continue to undergo preventative treatment to minimize the chance of the cancer recurring.

The rep did not specify what type of the disease Hoffman was battling. Regardless, we're happy to hear the good news, as first reported by People.

The 75-year-old actor made his feature directorial debut last year with Quartet, and he recently wrapped the Jon Favreau-directed Chef, costarring Robert Downey Jr., Sofia Vergara and Scarlett Johansson.

Next up for Hoffman, whose most recent role came on the small screen in the critically acclaimed but short-lived HBO series Luck, is Esio Trot with Dame Judi Dench and Boys Choir.
