‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' Debuts First Trailer

The long awaited, highly anticipated first trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has arrived.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, a famous magizoologist who travels to New York with his trusty case that can carry far more than it appears to, just like every other tote we've come to see in the Harry Potter franchise.

Within this case are expansive habitats for a collection of rare and endangered magical creatures from Scamander's travels around the globe. While in the Big Apple, Scamander realizes the wizarding population is fearfully hiding from No-Maj (American Muggles). The first installment of the trilogy is the story of what happens when Newt travels to wiz-phobic America and some of his creatures escape.

While Scamander might be fearful of the U.S. and its wizphobia, it's Redmayne who is really nervous about the launch of the franchise. "The stakes are high because they were so good before," Redmayne told E! News. "You don't want to screw it up."

The movie will be released on Nov. 18, 2016. The cast also includes Colin Farrell and "Trainwreck" actor Ezra Miler.

"It's a complete privilege for me," Redmayne added. "I love J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter films [and] books so for me this is just the most wondrous gift really."

Although Daniel Radcliffe told E! News' Marc Malkin that he wouldn't be making a cameo, he did say that he's looking forward to what's in store. "I'm excited to see them, especially with Eddie," he told E! News. "He's awesome. I think it'll be fantastic. I'm intrigued to see what they're going to do."
