Janet Jackson Announces New Music and World Tour

Janet Jackson tweeted  a video early Saturday morning to announce that she will be creating new music and going on a world tour.

"I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will," she says in the narration. "This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement."

Jackson had been living such a low-key life since marrying billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012, that fans started making mock-up missing posters for the "All for You" singer. Although they started as a harmless joke/prank, Jackson caught wind of the posters and called them "too funny, too sweet" on Twitter. But her acknowledgment only made fans beg harder for new music from the 49-year-old singer.

"Seriously, Janet, where the hell are you? We NEED you back. We miss you. Your fans miss you. The MUSIC INDUSTRY NEEDS YOU. Come back and show these young whippersnappers how it's done!" the poster read. "We're not asking. We're BEGGING!"

The poster was retweeted more than 300 times. "I'm also craving Janet Jackson's return," posted another fan.

Days later, Jackson wrote her first Twitter post of 2015. "Letting go doesn't mean you stop," she posted.
