 "Sharknado" In Theaters Friday

Sharknado's social media splash was enough to get the cable TV movie on the silver screen. The SyFy thriller will be in theaters on Friday for a midnight showing. The shark-mania doesn't end there, though. SyFy is set to release "Ghost Shark" on August 22.

Simon Cowell's Daddy Drama

The "X-Factor" judge's latest task: learning to change diapers. The never-married Cowell is expecting his first chid with close friend Lauren Silverman, who recently called it quits with real-estate mogul husband Andrew Silverman. Cowell's camp referred to the baby news as a "sensitive issue" and is expected to hold a press conference early next week. Simon, maybe fellow Brit Prince William can teach you the daddy do's and don'ts.

Randy Travis Released From Hospital

The country crooner has been moved to a physical therapy facility after being hospitalized in Texas following a stroke last month. His fiancee Mary Davis took to Travis' website to thank fans for their support.

The producers behind "Glee" plan to address addiction and the late actor during the third episode of the season. The show is also planning on a hiatus afterwards to reassess its direction, according to executive producer Ryan Murphy. Monteith passed away from drug-related causes in July.

Kidnapping victim Amanda Berry made her first public appearance as a free woman at an unexpected venue: onstage at a Cleveland concert. Nelly was performing and invited Berry to the stage, dedicating his song "Just A Dream" to her. Berry was held captive and tormented by Ariel Castro, who was recently sentenced to life in prison.

Ellen and Oscar Together Again

Ellen DeGeneres will host the Academy Awards in 2014. It'll be the second time the comedian will emcee the event (she first took the reins in 2007) and in typical Ellen fashion she took to Twitter to announce the news: It's official: "I'm hosting the ! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra."
