Scarlett Johansson: Marriage, Kids Are “Not Important to Me”

Scarlett Johansson is in no rush to make her way down the aisle again.

In fact, Ryan Reynolds' ex-wife may never be a "Mrs." again. The 28-year-old "Avengers" star dishes in the February issue of Elle UK (as excerpted by Gossip Cop) that the idea of an official legal union "has no relevance to me right now."

"I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually," she recalls. "But it is different. It's hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."

Scarlett adds that she's "not having kids any time soon" and the idea of starting a family right now is "not important to me."

That said, the actress says she's "in a nice relationship" and feels "happy" with her life and career.

"I feel like I've been transitioning from young woman into womanhood for a very long time," she says. "Now as I approach 30, with the last few years behind me, I feel like growing pains are behind me."

Those growing pains started at around age 18 for Scarlett. "I think any woman who is curvy and wears a gown to an event is, like, super sexualized," she says. "I've always been curvy. It runs in the family. Throw on an evening frock and it's like all of a sudden you have boobs and everyone is like: 'bombshell!' Instantly it was: 'The new Marilyn [Monroe].'"

Not a bad comparison!
