Giuliana Rancic Considers Adoption or Surrogacy While Treating Cancer

Giuliana says, "whether you have a baby naturally, adoption, surrogacy -- it's your baby"

Reality TV stars Bill and Giuliana Rancic of Style network’s “Giuliana & Bill” recently sat down with "Today" to talk about the couple's toughest challenge yet—Giuliana’s struggle with breast cancer and the possibilty of adoptiion or surrogacy while she is in treatment.

Giuliana said, "whether you have a baby naturally, adoption, surrogacy—it's your baby. You're going to love that baby and that's all that matters."

The Rancic’s have been through tough times in their relationship and on Monday Giuliana told "Today" their experiences have made them “closer than ever."

On past seasons of “Giuliana & Bill” the coupled shared their struggle to conceive with viewers. In October Giuliana revealed on the "Today" show that she was in the early stages of breast cancer.

“It's actually helped us find the humor in everything, because when you go through something this tough, you have to, at some point, laugh and get back to your normal life … and that’s what Bill helped me do,” Giuliana said.

Since then, Giuliana has had a double mastectomy and the couple said they are exploring "other options" to become parents as Giuliana continues treatment.

"We absolutely want a child. As far as getting pregnant myself, with the medication I'm starting ... it's probably not going to happen any time soon,” Giuliana said, “But we're definitely looking at other options ... Possibly adoption, surrogacy.”

Giuliana said that her battle with cancer has changed their lives.  She and Bill plan to renew their vows this summer and are expecting “good news” in regards to becoming parents in the near future.

The fifth season of “Giuliana & Bill” premieres Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on the Style network.
