Tony Pipitone, one of the most-honored investigative reporters in Florida, joined the Team 6 Investigators in 2014. He's received 12 Suncoast Emmys, including the chapter's Silver Circle Award, recognizing 25 years of excellence in television. He's also earned six Edward R. Murrow awards and dozens of statewide and regional awards. Tony's stories have helped put people in jail and get them out, exposed political and government corruption, and shed light on other illegal activities. Tony joined Team 6 after 26 years in Orlando, where the Orlando Sentinel called him "one of the finest reporters in Orlando television history." He hopes to continue that legacy in South Florida, where he lives with his wife Myriam. Three-time Emmy award winning journalist, attorney, and Gulf War fighter pilot Willard Shepard has brought his unique insight to NBC 6 viewers as an investigative reporter and anchor for more than 15 years. He has anchored the 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and weekend editions. Shepard, a member of the Florida Bar, uses his legal skills to develop consumer investigations revealing how families can protect their daily finances, home, credit, and investments. His reports also uncover fraud in private business and government. In addition to his commitment to news, Shepard is a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and Civil Air Patrol. His A-10 squadron was the first Air Force Reserve Fighter unit ever to go into combat. During the Gulf War, Shepard flew 52 combat sorties over Iraq and Kuwait. He was awarded six air medals. He assists high school students in obtaining ROTC scholarships and appointments to the USAF Academy. He is a graduate of the Florida International University College of Law and specializes in media and aviation legal issues. Shepard graduated cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia. For fun, he is an avid boxer, loves the movies, University of Michigan football and feels very blessed every day to have his wife Tainna and two kids.
Dan Krauth, an award winning investigative journalist, joined the NBC 6 News Team in May of 2014. His reporting in Florida has exposed government waste, caused local and state laws to be rewritten and resulted in an elected leader getting removed from office. Dan has received an Edward R. Murrow award for his reporting along with multiple Emmy Awards and other state and local honors. The stories ranged from uncovering a growing threat to Florida’s drinking water to exposing how much empty government buildings in South Florida are costing tax payers. Prior to joining NBC 6 Dan worked as an investigative reporter for WPTV, the NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach. He has also worked as a weekend anchor for the NBC affiliate in Fort Wayne, Indiana and reporter for WXMI in Grand Rapids. Dan started his career as a producer in Rockford, Illinois. Dan grew up in a suburb of Detroit and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Myriam Masihy’s investigative reporting has earned her numerous recognitions including six Emmy Awards and 14 Emmy nominations. Her work has helped uncover scams affecting South Florida consumers and led government agencies to shut down companies accused of ripping people off. Myriam has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from UNIACC in Santiago, Chile where she spent most of her adolescence and perfected her Spanish.
Trina Robinson continues to be one of the most versatile Anchor/ Reporters to ever work in the Miami TV news market. She has covered everything from hurricanes, as a trained meteorologist, to investigative, consumer and money-saving stories. She has garnered multiple journalism awards, from Emmys to a Green Eyeshade Award from the Society for Professional Journalists. During her tenure as the 6 & 11 p.m. anchor in Philadelphia, she covered the Congressional budget hearings and other big national stories from the White House. She holds an undergraduate degree in liberal arts with an emphasis on business and economics. Trina also has a masters in journalism and public affairs from American University, and did her course work in meteorology at Mississippi State University.
