One person was killed and two other hospitalized after an early morning crash in Hialeah Wednesday.

One person was killed and two other hospitalized after an early morning crash in Hialeah Wednesday.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Okeechobee Road about three miles north of the Florida's Turnpike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, the FHP said. The victim who died hasn't been identified and the conditions of the two people hospitalized was unknown.

Footage from the scene showed one car completely flipped over. The crash caused all the northbound lanes of Okeechobee Road to be closed for several hours Wednesday morning.

The FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
