2 Killed, 2 Injured in Little Haiti Shooting

Police investigate late-night shooting that killed two

Two people were killed and two others hospitalized in a shooting in Little Haiti late Monday night.

The shooting happened just before midnight during a gathering in the backyard of a home in the area of Northeast 68th Terrace and 1st Court, Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said.

"It appears they were possibly watching 'Monday Night Football,'" Reyes said.

Reyes said one person was killed at the scene and another person died after arriving at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police later identified them as Mackenson Pierre, 17, and Yves Sylvester, 15.

The two other victims were also taken to JMH with multiple gunshot wounds, but they are expected to survive, Reyes said.
