Over two dozen arrests were made and hundreds of pot plants worth $4.5 million were seized in a series of marijuana grow house raids in Miami-Dade, authorities said Thursday.

"Operation Machete" targeted 25 of the county's hydroponics labs on Wednesday, leading to 25 arrests and the seizure of 1,356 marijuana plants, according to Miami-Dade Police.

A total of 7 firearms, $31,708 in cash and 30 grams of cocaine was also seized in the raids. An approximate 1,137 pounds of marijuana was seized in the operation.

The identities of the suspects arrested and the locations of the grow houses were unknown.

"It is important to the community to be aware of the dangers involved in these labs, diverted power lines, use of multiple chemicals and poor ventilation just to name a few," read a statement from Miami-Dade Police.
