    Four people were shot Friday night in a gated Margate community on the 7400 block of Santa Monica Drive, according to police. Now officials are looking for suspects. NBC 6's Gilma Avalos has the story.

    Four people were shot Friday night in a gated Margate community on the 7400 block of Santa Monica Drive, according to police.

    Three men and one woman were transported to the hospital with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, Margate Police said. Two of the victims are in critical but stable condition and the other two are in stable condition, police said.

    Police are searching for suspects after four people were injured in a Margate shooting.

    Neighbors had trouble getting into the community following the shooting due to the police activity.

    "It's alarming," resident Venus Simcos said. "Nothing like this has ever happened as long as I've lived here."

    Many were shocked to hear the shooting happened in what they said was a quiet neighborhood.

    "Its an amazing neighborhood, very friendly," resident Patricia Santiago said. "There's actually a lot of officers that live in the community from different cities, so it's really shocking."

    A man linked to a fatal shooting in Plantation was arrested after a police search in Davie early Thursday, officials said. NBC 6's Myriam Masihy spoke with neighbors Kenny Powers and Verna Marmolejos about being caught in the standoff.
