4 Injured in Miami Gardens Shooting: Police

Police are actively looking for a suspect.

Miami Gardens Police are looking for suspects in a shooting that left four injured Saturday night.

Police said the suspect walked up to the porch of a home on the 3000 block of NW 188th Street and shot four male victims between 19 and 23-years-old.

They were taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Sun Life Stadium where they were then airlifted to nearby hospitals.

"Two were airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center, in serious condition, the other two were airlifted to Memorial Hospital," said Miami Gardens Police Officer Michael Wright.

A family that lives nearby says they heard the gunshots.

"[My family] heard a machine gun, and then towards the end they heard individual shots," neighbor Eddy Estevez said.

Authorities are now actively looking for the suspect.

"We are concerned at this point because there is a gunman on the street," Wright said.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
