    FATHER SPEAKS ABOUT CHECHEN'S FATAL SHOOTING
     
    The father of a Chechen man who was fatally shot while being questioned by investigators about his ties to one of the Boston marathon bombing suspects is speaking about what he has learned about his son's death. Abdulbaki Todashev is speaking to reporters Tuesday about his attempts to find out how his son, Ibragim Todasehv, died. The father traveled from Chechnya to investigate.

      US SENATE LOOKS AT TROUBLED OYSTER INDUSTRY
     
    The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee is holding a field hearing in the Panhandle to hear first-hand about the near-collapse of the state's oyster industry. Both U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson will attend the hearing being held in the Franklin County Courthouse.
     
    BAIL, PLEA HEARING FOR TWO IN FLORIDA TERROR CASE
     
    Two men accused in South Florida of providing thousands of dollars and fighter recruits to terrorist organizations overseas are due at a hearing in a federal courtroom. An arraignment and bail hearing are set Tuesday afternoon for 30-year-old Gufran Ahmed Kauser Mohammed and 25-year-old Mohamed Hussein Said.
     
    BRAIN-EATING AMOEBA AFFECTS PERSON IN GLADES COUNTY
     
    A confirmed case of Naegleria fowleri - an amoeba that causes deadly and rare brain infections - has been reported in Southwest Florida. The Glades County Health Department confirmed the case on Saturday but was unsure where the infection took place. Department spokeswoman Brenda Barns says there's no way to pinpoint the water or soil source because it's naturally occurring.
     
    BROWARD DEPUTIES FATALLY SHOOT WOMAN
     
    South Florida deputies fatally shot a woman armed with a BB gun following a brief standoff in a suburban neighborhood. The Broward Sheriff's Office reports that 44-year-old Lisa Taylor was rushed to a Hollywood hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

    FITNESS INSTRUCTOR SHOT AT WINTER GARDEN GYM

    Police say a gunman walked into a central Florida Crossfit gym and fatally shot a fitness instructor while those taking the class looked on in horror.
