    REPORT: MORE THAN 120,000 FLORIDIANS RECEIVED BILLIONS IN AID FROM MAJOR BANKS

    OFFICER WHO ESCORTED LEBRON JAMES TO CONCERT WILL BE DISCIPLINED

    The Miami-Dade Police Department says the officer will be given "informal counseling," but no further action will be taken. The department said earlier that officers violated policy by proving police escort for the Miami Heat star to the Justin Timberlake/Jay Z concert.

    Tampa Bay guard Carl Nicks and kicker Lawrence Tynes are being treated for MRSA infections, which is a staph infection that's resistant to some antibiotics. The team was in New England for a pre-season game when the announcement was made Thursday. The team hired a company to sanitize the team's training facility.

    SUSPECT ACCUSED OF RUNNING OVER WOMAN AT GAS STATION ARRESTED

    A suspect police said ran over a woman after he attempted to rob her at a Homestead gas station was arrested at his North Miami home Thursday night, authorities said. John Croissy, 26, was taken into custody without incident at about 8:30 p.m., police said.
