A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is recovering in a Gainesville hospital after being shot in the face during a foot chase with a suspect on Saturday. The 24-year-old suspect was fatally shot. Authorities are searching for a second suspect who fled the scene.
 
2 DEAD, 2 INJURED IN SOUTH FLORIDA SHOOTING
 
Officials say two people are dead and two others are injured following a shooting Sunday afternoon outside a home in Cutler Bay. The suspect tried to run down the victims, who are apparently related. He was arrested later Sunday at another relative's house.
 
JACKSONVILLE INSURANCE SALESMAN PLEADS GUILTY

An insurance salesman has pleaded guilty to running an investing scheme that defrauded $4 million from school teachers and administrators. Anderson Scott Hall faces up to 80 years in prison when he is sentenced in federal court on mail and wire fraud charges.

Two Miami police officers won't face charges after fatally shooting a man who wielded a box cutter during a 2009 traffic stop. But in a report issued by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office stopped short of saying the officers were justified in using deadly force in the death of Corey McNeal in November 2009.
