Former President Bill Clinton will be in South Florida Friday to receive an award from Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Clinton will be receiving the first ever Joe DiMaggio American Icon Award during a ceremony at Nova Southeastern University.
The award is in honor of the 100th anniversary of DiMaggio's birth, and is given to an individual who represents the highest of values for which the baseball legend stood.
The event will be emceed by reporter Lesley Visser, and actor Forest Whitaker will introduce Clinton.
