Police say officers shot a man during a confrontation while they were responding to a burglary call at a Lauderhill business early Thursday.
The incident began around 2 a.m. when officers received a 911 call of a possible burglary at IGM Metal Recycling in the 1700 block of Northwest 31st Avenue, Lauderhill Police officials said.
When police arrived, they got into a confrontation with an armed man and three officers opened fire, officials said.

The unidentified man was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured but a second person was taken into police custody at the scene.
Workers at the business said the man shot was a security guard there, but police haven't confirmed his identity.
"There were no markings on his person that indicated if in fact he is employed as a security guard, I don't know what may have been said during the situation," Rocco said.
Northwest 31st Avenue between 16th Street and 19th Street was closed early Thursday as police continued to investigate the incident.
