Bush Says It Best: ‘This Team Stinks'

No changes on the horizon for Dolphins after falling to 0-6 against Denver

Just when you thought the 1-4 Denver Broncos might hand the Miami Dolphins their first victory of the season, Miami proved that in 2011, no one out-sucks the Dolphins.

"Right now, this team stinks."

So said RB Reggie Bush after Miami snatched defeat from the jaws of victory yet again on Sunday afternoon.

Holding a 15-0 lead against the Broncos with 5:23 left in the fourth quarter, Miami folded in improbable fashion.

"We were up 15 points with what, five minutes left to go? And we couldn’t win it? It’s disgusting," Bush added. He echoed the sentiment of countless Dolphins fans who find it more palatable to cheer for a losing season and the chance at drafting Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck than hope this year's squad can turn things around.

At this point, even a turnaround would be unsatisfying. The Dolphins are so far behind in the AFC playoff race that even a 10-game winning streak to close the season might not be enough to make the playoffs.

Regardless, Dolphins fans are stuck with this team for better or worse. Reports are owner Stephen Ross will not fire head coach Tony Sparano anytime soon.

The reason why may make some Dolfans wretch. According to the Sun Sentinel, Ross has to "stand by his man, show some loyalty and patience, unlike his January courtship of then Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh, which happened while Sparano was still employed."

Apparently it's hard to convince someone like Bill Cowher to work for you after trying twice in one year to fire your head coach.

Of course, Sparano's continued employment will doubtless be cheered by the Suck for Luck crowd, who would be content for the Dolphins to simply keep doing what they're doing and watch the losses pile up.

Unfortunately for every other Dolfan, losing is the only thing Miami can do well these days.
