“Fire Ireland” Banner Flies at Miami Dolphins-Chargers Game

The banner read: "Mr. Ross: We told you so 2 years ago #FireIreland."

Another "Fire Ireland" banner flew over Sun Life Stadium Sunday as the Miami Dolphins prepared to take on the San Diego Chargers.

This time, the banner read: "Mr. Ross: We told you so 2 years ago #FireIreland."

The flying message was planned by a pair of Dolphins fans who paid to fly a banner above the stadium asking owner Stephen Ross to fire general manager Jeff Ireland during the 2011 season. Roger Paul and Chris Joseph arranged to fly the first banner when the Dolphins hosted the New York Jets on New Year's Day 2012.

Ireland has been the target of recent harsh criticism after Miami lost five of the last six games. He was also reported to have told AWOL offensive lineman Jonathan Martin's agent that Martin should "punch" Richie Incognito, who allegedly harassed him.
