Florida Parks Give Discounts to Florida State, UCF Fans

Florida's state park system is celebrating the bowl game wins of Florida State University and the University of Central Florida by offering fans discounts.

The Florida Park Service said Tuesday it would offer a half-price admission Mondays through Thursdays to fans wearing FSU and UCF hats or shirts. Students from the schools can get into the parks for half-price by showing student IDs.

The deal will last throughout January and is good for all parks but three: Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and Skyway Fishing Pier State Park.

The offer also isn't good for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 20.

Florida State won the national championship by defeating Auburn on Monday. UCF beat Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl.
