Firefighter Rolando Busto, a member of the Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team, rappelled down to the man and was able to hoist him up to an observation platform above.

Officials said the man had slipped and fallen onto the ledge from the observation deck.

It was the second technical rescue in the past month for Fort Lauderdale firefighters, after they performed a rescue of man who was inside a box truck that was left dangling off an I-95 overpass.
