Family and friends gathered for a final farewell to a Florida State University graduate from South Florida.
A funeral for Ryan Uhre, 23, was held at Bonaventure Catholic Church Sunday. Uhre was missing for two weeks before his body was found Tuesday in Tallahassee.
Some wore Hawaiian shirts at the request of Uhre's brother. Uhre was last seen wearing a Hawaiian shirt just before he disappeared suddenly on Super Bowl Sunday.
The disappearance received a lot of attention in the media and online. Just a week ago, more than a hundred people held a prayer vigil on Fort Lauderdale Beach for Uhre. A couple of days after, police in Tallahassee discovered his body in an abandoned building.
Uhre was raised in Weston, graduated FSU in December, was a legislative intern and was preparing to go to law school. His fraternity brothers took a bus from Tallahassee to South Florida for the funeral.
Police are still investigating the death, but say they don't suspect foul play.
