Residents of a Miami-Dade neighborhood may have felt like gator bait after one of the large reptiles was spotted roaming through the streets Thursday night.
The alligator was seen in Schenley Park in the area of Southwest 57th Court and 32nd Street.
Police and Fish and Wildlife officials were called to the scene as neighbors snapped photos and took videos of the gator.
At one point, an officer tried to approach the gator and it snapped at him.
Officials were able to contain the animal and no one was injured.
