Crews Battle Brush Fire in Southwest Miami-Dade

A fire that burned 20 acres in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday afternoon was still being extinguished by firefighters on Sunday afternoon, according to the state Division of Forestry.

Firefighters were called to an Opa-locka junkyard after a large fire broke out Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at the business at 12800 Cairo Lane, officials said.

Miami-Dade Fire responded but didn't give any more information.

Footage showed flames and massive amounts of smoke coming from the junkyard as firefighters hosed it down.
