Authorities looking for man who ripped off beauty store. NBC6's Christina Hernandez reports.
Authorities are looking for a man who was caught on video robbing a Lauderdale Lakes beauty supply store in broad daylight.
The robbery happened back on Jan. 3 at the Glam Lux Beauty Supply store at 4091 Northwest 34th Street, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
The store's cameras were rolling as the suspect strolled in and chatted with a worker and asked her about some of the products behind the counter.
After a few moments, the suspect calmly handed the clerk a plastic bag and demanded money from the register and the woman's iPad. The woman complied and the suspect fled the store on foot.
"Based on the time of day, I think he canvassed the area first, noticed there wasn't a lot of activity and picked a perfect time to walk inside when it was a one-on-one situation with the victim," said Det. Theophilus Woulard.

The store will move to another location. But Woulard said robberies are Lauderdale Lakes have increased.
"In that area, I've had a few investigations of robbery in the past six months," Woulard said.
Authorities describe the man as between 20 and 30 years old, skinny, who was wearing a long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and sunglasses with a cloth covering his head. He also has a date tattooed on the right side of his neck.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and anyone with info is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
