Police looking for man who attacked woman who pulled over with car trouble

Miami-Dade Police are looking for a man they say beat and sexually assaulted a woman who was having trouble with her car.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday when the 21-year-old woman began having mechanical problems with her car on I-95 and pulled off at Northwest 103rd Street near Northwest 6th Avenue, police said.

As the woman was inspecting the front of her car, she was hit in the back of the head with an unknown object and pushed to the ground from behind, police said.

The suspect repeatedly punched her in the face before sexually assaulting her and fleeing the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 with a thin build and dark curly hair. He had a silver hoop earring in his left ear and left the scene in a black older model Honda with tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
