A man was killed Sunday morning when his SUV plunged into a canal, said Miami-Dade police spokesperson Rosanna Cordero-Stutz.
A security guard saw the driver's black Jeep submerged in water near Northwest 127 Avenue and Northwest 25 Street and called police, she said.
Responding officers pulled the victim from the car. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities have yet to release the name of the deceased, identifying him only as a Hispanic male.
