Officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol in the crash.

Pembroke Pines Police are investigating a single-car crash that left one man dead early Saturday morning.

Alexander Aguilar, 63, was driving south on the 1800 block of Douglas Road when his car crossed the median and struck the barrier wall on the east side of the roadway, police said.

The car bounced off the wall and crossed back over the median, striking a tree on the west side of the street just north of Taft Street, according to officials.

Aguilar, who was the only person in the car at the time, was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Police said drugs and alcohol are not suspected in the crash.
