A man has pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run crash that left two people dead in North Miami-Dade in 2011, the Miami Herald reported Monday.
Rolando Aliaga, 50, who drove into a bus stop on Feb. 1, 2011, will serve 15 years in prison, plus five years of probation, the report said.
Tyron Richmond and Charles Williams, who were waiting at the Miami-Dade bus stop died after the crash on Northwest 79th Street and 27th Avenue.
When Aliaga tried to flee from the scene, he was forced off the road by a man in a truck who witnessed the whole thing. The truck driver, Mark Brown, was able to keep Aliaga at the scene until cops arrived.
Police at the time said Aliaga was drunk when he struck the two men.
