Man Shot During Possible Home Invasion in Little Havana

Victim rushed to hospital in critical condition

A man was in critical condition after he was shot during a possible home invasion in Little Havana Tuesday morning, police said.

Miami Police say the shooting happened shortly before 10 a.m. at a building in the 500 block of Northwest 23rd Court.

The victim, identified as 41-year-old Geraldo Quezada, was found lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition, police said.

Quezada was in and out of consciousness and refused to give officers information on the shooting, police said.

A witness said they saw a white Latin male in his mid 20s wearing a black shirt and blue jeans leaving the scene at the time of the incident, police said.
