Justin Tucker's kick was right down the middle. Caleb Sturgis' was wide left.
Tucker kicked a 44-yard field goal to put the Baltimore Ravens ahead with 1:42 left, and they withstood a frantic comeback bid by the Miami Dolphins to win 26-23 Sunday.
Ryan Tannehill scrambled before completing a 46-yard pass to Brandon Gibson on fourth down to keep Miami's hopes alive, but Sturgis then was wide on a 57-yard field goal attempt with 33 seconds to go.
Sturgis' attempt came after the Ravens' sixth sack — this one by Elvis Dumervil — pushed Miami to the edge of field-goal range. Terrell Suggs finished with three sacks.
The Ravens (3-2) bounced back from a loss last week at Buffalo and won on the road for the first time this season. The Dolphins (3-2) lost their second game in a row.
Baltimore moved 34 yards to set up Tucker's game-winning field goal, his fourth of the day. The Ravens ran for a season-high 133 yards, and Joe Flacco threw for 269.
The Dolphins trailed 23-13 with 10 minutes left before scoring twice in 95 seconds.

Reshad Jones tied the game at 23 by returning an interception 25 yards for a touchdown. Flacco was throwing from the goal line on third down when his right arm and the ball were hit by Dion Jordan, and the pass fluttered to Jones, who ran untouched for the score.
That was the only interception for Flacco, who threw a career-high five last week. The teams then traded punts before Baltimore moved 34 yards — 20 on the ground — to set up Tucker's game-winner.
The Ravens drove 80, 73 and 94 yards on their first three possessions of the second half and scored each time, transforming a 13-6 deficit into a 23-13 lead.
Flacco went 19 for 32 and had three completions of at least 40 yards, and each set up a score.
Ray Rice ran for a season-best 74 yards and caught six passes for 28. Torrey Smith had six catches for 121 yards.
Tannehill went 21 for 40 for 307 yards with one touchdown and no turnovers. Mike Wallace had seven catches for 105 yards, but also dropped at least two passes.
A pair of pass interference penalties against Miami helped the Ravens drive 80 yards for a tying touchdown to start the second half. Flacco threw deep for 40 yards to Tandon Doss to set up a field goal that put Baltimore ahead 16-13.
In the first half, Flacco completed passes of 43 yards to Ed Dickson and 41 to Smith to set up field goals.
Tannehill drove the Dolphins 60 yards in the final two minutes before halftime for the game's first touchdown, which came on his 9-yard pass to Charles Clay on third down.
That put Miami ahead 13-6.
Tannehill threw deep to Clay for a 45-yard gain that set up a field goal in the fourth quarter after Baltimore had taken a 10-point lead.
The Dolphins started slowly, with three plays and a kick on their first five possessions. A bad snap complicated things by losing 18 yards.
Eventually Tannehill found his rhythm, despite Baltimore's strong pass rush. He connected with Wallace on a deep pattern for the first time this season, and the 49-yard gain led to a Miami field goal.
Former Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe recovered a fumble by Rice to set up a Miami field goal.
